35th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Competition & Exhibition, Malaysia (ITEX) 2024

VISIT FROM INNOVATION AND COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT CENTRE (PPIP) UNIVERSITY OF MALAYSIA SABAH (UMS) TO UMPSA INNOVATION AND COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT CENTER (ICC)

The Innovation and Commercial Management Center (ICC), Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) received a Benchmark visit from the Innovation and Commercialization Management Centre (PPIP), Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS).

A total of 8 UMS delegates participated in this visit led by the Director, UMS Innovation and Commercialization Management Centre, Prof. Dr. Jidon@Adrian Janaun and Deputy Director, Dr. Bamini Kpd ​​Balakrishnan to exchange views on the best practices of commercialization management.

CITREX  2024

The 14th edition Creation, Innovation, Technology & Research Exposition (CITREX) 2024 conferred 93 gold medals, 126 silver medals and 35 bronze medal involving 255 entries from staff, IPT students and school students.

The program was being inaugurate by Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic & International Affairs), Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad bin Sulaiman as a representative of the Vice Chancellor.

Prof. Ir. Ts. Dr. Ahmad Ziad in his opening speech said "Researchers need to be more creative and innovative in facing today's challenges and need to drive the momentum in the field of research”.

It is our pleasure to share that researchers from UMP have clinched 11 Gold and 9 Silver Medals in the 34th International Invention, Innovation & Technology Exhibition, Malaysia (ITEX) which was held on 11th-12th May 2023 at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur. BRIEFING ON THE DIGITAL DOCUMENT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM (DDMS)  AND FILE CODING SYSTEM

A briefing on the Digital Document Management System 2.0 (DDMS 2.0) and File Coding System was held on 26 January 2023 to train the file coordinators at Research & Innovation Department. The briefing was delivered by Mrs. Sariyati Md. Nayan, Senior Assistant Administrative Officer,  Registrar's Department.

This DDMS 2.0 system was developed by MAMPU and is used in the government sector for the purpose of managing records and files digitally and comprehensively from its life cycle, which consists of the process of creation, capture, storage, maintenance, distribution and disposal of records digitally and systematically. In addition, the use of DDMS 2.0 can also improve the delivery and transparency of government services through easy access via digital (electronic) record management anywhere, no matter the time as long as there is internet access.

A group of UMP researchers from the Center for Technology Design & Innovation (PRInT) have produced a multifunctional drone.

A demonstration was held in the paddy fields around Kampung Serandu to further see how this dronw would help the farmers in spraying fertilizers and pesticides.
